Enrollment
Process

The Rockcastle
Adult Education staff can tell you about our program and
services offered.

They will schedule
an appointment for you at the Center to complete your
enrollment.

You will then
receive a short pretest to determine which areas you need to
study in order to pass the GED test, prepare for postsecondary
studies, sharpen your skills for employment, or preparation for
postsecondary studies.

You will then
receive a schedule individualized to meet your needs. Your
schedule will include a series of courses over a six-week
period.
GED
Option
-
At the end of the
series, you will receive an Official GED Practice Test.'

The results of your
Practice Test will be reviewed with you to determine your
eligibility to enroll for the next GED testing session.

The staff will help
you enroll for the GED test. You will pay $55 for your GED test.

Take your GED test.
View your scores online in three days. Go to www.GED123.org and
login with your access code.

Receive your GED
diploma one week after your test if you pass. If you do not
pass, you can study some more, take the Official Practice test
(OPT) again and retest ---you can take the GED Tests three times
in each calendar year.
To
earn a GED diploma in Kentucky you must earn 2250 total points (450
average) with no individual content area score lower than 410.
Standard scores on the GED Tests range from 200 to 800.
